I'm sure, too, from Meditech's perspective, not all hospital users have
access to all spool files, as I did when I was in IT. When I moved back
to PFS, I deliberately removed myself from many spool file groups
because I knew I didn't need them any more. But I still think there
needs to be some enhancements to those routines. They really haven't
changed in several releases and are getting a little behind the times as
far as the technology goes. Sorting by columns is such a convenient
feature in Microsoft applications!

I'm one of your supporters for that MIX request, but I suspect that even
if every hospital had the same desire, it only applies to the few users
who have occasion to be in the spool files (for reprinting,
troubleshooting, etc.) that are affected; thus, the "not enough
interest" response. Maybe we should start a petition....... ??? :)

I have run in to that at several sites. There's really no other
functionality in that lookup. I sent in a MIX request several years ago
and Meditech told me there wasn't enough interest from other hospitals.
I wanted the ability to sort by date or spool group and/or user.

So, we used to be able to do a lookup when using spool files and
the latest run file would be on top. Evidently, we got up to 99999 and
it started over with 100. so now when you do a lookup you have to go
thru a few more steps to see the last one. Anyone figure out how to get
it sorted so the latest run spool file is on top? I thought it could
sort by date, but MT says no.
