Kim, I have very recently seen a facility add this field to its nursing
admission assessment:

Poor quality or interrupted sleep due to snoring Y/N

It's only one question, but this facility had to consider its resources.
If the answer is Y, an electronic notification goes to RT. It's not
Nursing's responsibility to follow up on this one. There is no Sleep
Lab. Sharon

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Sleep apnea

Does anyone have a sleep apnea risk assessment developed for nursing?
I'd like to see what questions you ask and when you ask them (on
admission, prior to surgery, etc).
