Hello,

We are currently reviewing our policies on emailing personal health
information outside of our hospital. We are also considering disabling
the email feature in Meditech's EMR and filtering outbound email
messages for inappropriate content (such as patient identifiers, certain
key words).

If anyone has gone through the process of restricting this type of email
I would very much appreciate hearing from you. Was a policy enough or
did you have to disable functionality or implement tools to filter
outgoing email? If so, what tools did you use? Was there any resistance
from your user community? Did you make exceptions if there was a
reasonable justification?

Thank you in advance for your input!
