We are a C/S site version 5.5 SR2. We have a committee that is looking at Capacity Planning and how we can provide a mass alert to the physicians/ Staff to make them aware of the capacity issues. We have discussed mass email, mass pager alerts, and an overhead announcement with a Code call at different levels. We have also talked about utilizing the Bed Board to track the capacity.
I am interested in knowing: 1. Are you utilizing the Bed Board in ADM? 2. If so, how is it working for you? 3. How are you utilizing the features available through Bed Board? 4. Are you currently alerting staff/physicians when the hospital is close or at capacity? 5. Do you alert as each unit starts to fill or only when the entire hospital is at a defined %? 5.
