At my previous hospital, I implemented Valco Paperless Registration. I
can't remember the exact scanners that we used, but I'm thinking...
Travel Pro? Visioneer? Anyway, it was the medium of the three that
Valco recommends. The Fujitsu was just too expensive for them to roll
out to 10+ registration points and too large to fit on the rolling carts
in the ED. The Valco integration with PCI and BAR works well and the
implementation of that product was very good.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Scanning Software

Hi,
We are a magic 5.5 sr2 site that is looking for scanning software to be
used primarily by our Registration staff to scan insurance cards and
other data into the Meditech Admissions module. Is anyone using this
type of solution? Can you let me know the name of the vendor and what
types of devices you use?
Thanks,

Diane Curran
