Diane - We had a similar problem with Pyxis. Back with the release before
5.4 (5.3 or 4.9 - can't remember what it was called), there was a problem
with split orders. Meditech fixed this, but when they did, they totally
screwed up the crediting by eliminating the search for the mneumonic when
crediting (unbelieveable that anyone could be as stupid as that programmer
was). So, if for instance a patient had say 6 medications removed from the
OR Pyxis prior to surgery and 2 were returned, the credit could hit any of
those 6 medications and credit them. We had >$100 items being returned that
were credited to a $2 Lidocaine, and $2 Lidocaines being returned that were
crediting a >$100 item that shouldn't have been credited. Talk about a royal
mess. We are currently in the process of correcting thousands of bills that
go back over 2 years because of this problem. What you are probably seeing
is where someone is returning more than one of an item and the credit is
hitting something where only one was removed and thus is rejecting. What I
would suggest is running a list of all actual returns made to Omnicel and
making sure that Meditech is crediting the correct Rx; my bet is that it
isn't.
Let me know what you find out.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] PHARMACY CREDITING PROBLEM
We have recently updated to Meditech Magic v5.61. Since the update we
have had a problem with credits interfacing from Omnicell to Pharmacy.
They are rejecting with the message "Unable to find matching Rx." We
have been working with and waiting for Meditech to solve this for more
than a month.
Has anyone else had this problem? If yes, has it been resolved?
Thanks,
Diane
