Hi Brian,

The David Thompson Health Region along with six other Health Authorities
located in Alberta, Canada
are currently running CS 5.5 SR2. As an alternative to those bulky Hand Held
Terminals, the The David Thompson Health Region successfully implemented a PDA
Solution from "Great Big Solutions" located in Edmonton, Alberta.
Their solution uses the Standard Meditech Material Management HHT Interface.
Some of the other Regional Health Authorities in Alberta are also utilizing the
PDA alternative, some are using Bar Code functionality while others opted to
use a shopping list format. This vendor may be able to answer some of your
wireless questions.

Best Regards,

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Inventory control systems

Hello All,

We are looking for a wireless inventory control system to implement at our
single site hospital. I know JJ Wild has a bar-coding system that integrates
with Meditech. Is there any site out there that uses another 3rd party
inventory control system that interfaces with Meditech? We are currently a
Meditech Magic 5.5.2 single site hospital.
