Pat Thanks for the Info - sorry for all the additional questions. I am
interested in the process.

1. Who identifies the security risk?

2. Do you have a policy that creates some mechanism for this?

3. Does the flag carry over from admit to admit?

4. Could I ask you to share your CC indicators?

5. Do other care areas have the similar or unit specific indicators?

Thanks so much to all of you.

We have this in our Critical Care Indicators. When a known security
risk patient is registered we have a security alert print at the
security office and the admissions desk (to alert security in the event
that they are not in their office). These alerts print via an OA
message.

But can this alert be sent to risk Management?

You could do this with a query in ADM/OE/NUR and have it
appear on OE PAT 1 screens, or Critical Care Indicator screens, or
custom requisitions or on the status board,etc....

                Good Luck,

We are a Magic 5.4 site soon to be 5.6. Has anyone
developed an alert flag in any of the modules. This would be a flag that
could possibly be used in the case of a known violent or litigious
patient. If so would you be able to share the wording of the alert.

                Thanks in advance
