I have been charged with
producing a patient report (from ADM.PAT) to pull in not only the patient's
current unit number, but the last merged from unit number. Does anyone
have something out there to help out with?
The process currently is
this: A trauma patient arrives in the Emergency Department - name
unknown. We use a list of prebuilt names, which assigns a new unit
number. Once the patient is known and is identified as having been in our
MPI before, we merge that new unit number with patient all ready in the
system. Blood bank will often times all ready have had blood drawn and
wants to be able to match that up with the newly created unit number - even
though it will have been merged a number of hours later. The end process
is to have both unit numbers on the same armband (thus the ADM.PAT
report).
