Title: RE: [MEDITECH-L] An issue with the L that haunts me
I too have similar experiences.
My outlook 2003 settings are default to TEXT format, but when it's posted, it comes up as an attachment. The only thing I can think of is how the email is routed, somehow the filters are converting it from text to another format prior to getting to the L. I agree, this is very frustrating to go through attachments, and more frustrating that your own postings are auto converting to attachments. I'm guessing many users are having similar problems.
Any ideas / solutions as defaulting the outlook to send as text only doesn't seem to work. Even my signature is text format only. We too are a MS Exchange shop.
Thanks,
Jamie

I'm not sure if you will even see this message. I have my system set up to send messages in plain text. I know it for a fact because when I want to paste in screen prints I get a message warning me that this will not show or I have to convert my message to HTML.
My text settings JUST DO NOT seem to matter. All my e-mails to the L end up at attachments anyway.
Is there something I don't know? We are Microsoft Exchange.

I would definitely agree with this statement!
I receive a little over 100 emails a day. This is after about 300 have been pre-screened and removed by our SPAM appliance.
As a result I depend heavily on the Subject lines. If a Subject line does not catch my eye I likely will never open the message...text or not.

OK, I understand there's a problem getting our L messages in text and that some folks just want to send attachments and not deal with the issue, but surely, if you expect a response to your question, you can at least put a relevant subject line in, please!
