We are currently using MSM's (MAGIC)meeting scheduling product. It does
fine for basic scheduling of meeting rooms. Our education department has
asked me to post a question asking what other scheduling programs/software
facilities are using to schedule meetings.
Some of the things they would like to see are:
* Instead of see what room's are booked for meetings they would like
the capability of seeing what rooms are available when trying to book a
meeting.
For example:
If they want to book a meeting room now in MSM, we have to go and
see what rooms are already booked to determine what rooms are open. It
would be nice to have a system "find" an open room based on the
criteria you entered.
* They would like an email reminder to go out to the person who booked
the meeting (the day prior to the meeting) asking if they still need the
room. If they reply saying "no" that it would go in and cancel that
room.
* If the room needs to be set up a particular way it would trigger an
email or work order to go general services.
* If catering needs to occur it could be requested in that same area
and an email or work order would automatically go to food service.
Does anyone know if MSM's scheduling program can do some of all of these
things?
