We actually do all of them. It depends on what is being done. Some of
our charges are based on acuity (higher acuity means higher level ED
charge), some on procedure (if it can be coded ex. Major Laceration) and
some are supply charges (Laceration Tray). The time one is a little
tricky and I have not created any with this. If you would like more
details I would be happy to share.

Hello Fellow L'ers:

We are in the early stages of implementing our EDM module. Currently,
depending upon the treatments a patient receives a total is obtained
which then is reflected by the 'level' of charge entered for the
patient's care.

Does anyone do this automatically within the EDM module? We see that we
can enter various charges based upon quantity or time and based upon
query responses. We just aren't sure which may be best for what we want
to do.

Do you have any pearls of wisdom?

Thank you in advance for your assistance with this request.

Have a great day.

Cindy
