Hi, We have been producing armbands via the Admissions registration process for about 1.5 years now using a custom NPR report containing printer codes to format/rotate text and print a bar code for the visit number. We are using a Datamax I-4308 printer and we have gone through numerous print heads. We also have had at least one printer's feed mechanism seem to go bad on us. Datamax has recommended turning the heat setting down, since it apparently was not designed to use the highest heat setting. Now, our techs are being told the printer was not designed to handle "shiny, textured" stock and that is probably our problem. I was wondering if anyone else is using a similar setup and what type of printer and/or stock you're using. I'm also interested in what other solutions some of you may be using if they are different from what we're doing. Thanks!
