I was wondering if someone who is already allowing e-signing of medical
records by docs in PCI would share your implementation process with me.
I know basically how it works I just have some questions about the flow
 and processes.

 1. Did you implement all or none or bring a few up at a time?
If a few at a time, How did the transcription staff remember who
was e-signing who was not? ****** Initially it was voluntary. All reports
were set to be Esigned as final though at this time. We didn't have too
many volunteers. All practitioners are now required to E-sign.

 2. Does a draft get put on the medical record at the time its
transcribed or do you wait for the electronically signed report? ***** The
transcriptionists print Drafts when they finish transcribing whether the
Practitioner Esigns or not. The reports print to the Patients location. They
still do this and I have no idea why.... since they all Esign now and the
Esigned reports print there as well. The Original MR version prints in
 the Medical Records department.

 3. Do you have the e-signed report print to the patient location and
have Unit Clerks file or is Medical Records responsible for getting the
e-signed reports to the unit? **** See above.

 4. Did you allow the physician to chg status to pending and edit the
report in PCI? ****** We allow them to edit but do not use Pending.

 5. What special reports do you use to track the outstanding status of
unsigned reports? ****** We have a number of reports which we used to run.
We now pretty much rely on the OE ICR MRI links which automatically put the
reports on the ICR list and take them off when they sign.
We used to run and Unsigned reports list, a list that printed out reports with
temporary patients and stuff like that. They may still be running these.

Anything you can think of that worked or didn't work with
 implementation.....
