At our facility, we use floor stock, and have a CDS that states "Did you
verify the amount and type of insulin with another nurse? [Y/N] HCH
policy requires that this be done prior to administration.

For those who are using BMV, how do you handle SQ insulin
administration?

1) Do you have one insulin bottle per patient, or do you have 'floor
stock'?
2) Do you require that the dose be checked with 2 nurses?
    If so:
2a) Do you use the "co-signature" routine within eMAR?
2b) Or, do you have a screen in which the administering nurse
enter
the name of the nurse who double-checked the dose

Thanks for any input!
