How are those using/thinking about using, EMAR and BMV handling newborn
medications that are presently pulled from ADM devices or charged under
the mother's account, but are actually administered to the newborn. For
example, all our newborns are given erythromycin and vitamin K. They
are pulled from the AcuDose machines under the mother's account because
the baby's account isn't registered quickly enough. The pharmacy is not
required to profile the medications because they are given under the
auspices of a physician (similar to ED medications).

Therefore they are not going to appear on the EMAR under the baby, nor
can they be scanned via BMV for the baby.

Puzzled,
Paul
