Each discipline has their own interventions. We preface the intervention with the discipline for example: RT, PT, etc. Nurses do not document on the other discipline's interventions and vice versa. I've never had anyone make that request. We would tell them to arrow into the screen to see the user or nurse type who documented it. Or we would create a separate assessment/intervention call PT Education, or PT whatever. HTML will be converted to attachments. The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== Hello to all Listers that have any dealings with the Nursing Module! I would appreciate some advice and feedback! Have any of you ever wished (or had a request from a user) that the 'view intervention history' screen include a column indicating the 'nurse type' of the person documenting/creating/commenting/editing? I could see this being really useful and it would only reduce the 'comment' column by just a few characters. The information would be invaluable I think, and the tradeoff minimal. We currently have a few interventions that are filed by more than one discipline. One example: there is an ambulation screen that is filed by both Nursing and PT. Physical Therapy has just requested that I create a separate intervention for them, with the same questions, so that anyone looking at the documentation will know whether it was Nursing or PT that filed the intervention. I offered to put a query on the screen asking which discipline was documenting, but they don't want to wait until screen level for the distinction. Since the "View Intervention History" screen isn't any help for this request, I am faced with creating another intervention for PT. As some of you can imagine, this will actually cause problems with data flow to an electronic kardex, and a couple reports.... You know the story! Anyway, just wondered what others might suggest in this instance. My finger is poised and ready to 'copy' the CDS...save me from this fate if you can!
