Greg,
We are still struggling on a best approach on how to archive and retract
media that is accessible to Matterhorn Admin as a regular file on local
shared storage, but distributed to the outside world through strange and
unusual protocols, i.e. RTMP (or YouTube which doesn't take a file
extension).
Christoph Drießen mentioned that the Matterhorn group had considered
distinguishing the resource's distribution reference from it's local
file location in order to resolve this sort of issue. It's not clear if
a resolution is still on the table. It's likely that this problem could
impact future types of resource distribution, not just streaming (or
YouTube).
In the last Matterhorn meeting, a key contributor implied that this
issue is a feature not a bug.
Before we attack this locally, it would be good to know the communities
feelings on this.
Best wishes,
Karen

Hi folks,
I'd like to talk about the upcoming bug bash a bit this week, but other
than than a few reminders and questions about larger tickets I don't
have much for the agenda. Does anyone else have something they would
like to add? If you have a larger issue that hasn't been brought up,
this would be the week to do it!
