The inspect tabs are basically just a dump of the data objects, dumbly writing
out key/value pairs. This make them adaptable to changes in the objects but
does mean all the data must be in a human readable form.
If you keep the original data as is and create a duplicate object with values
in human readable form to be used for display that requires us to keep the two
objects synchronized.
If you convert the values to human readable form on the fly that requires the
code to know about particular values.
