Dear colleagues, We are pleased to announce this year’s collaboration between the Online Handbook of Argumentation for AI (OHAAI) and the 5th European Conference on Argumentation (ECA 2025).
As part of this collaboration, OHAAI will host a dedicated student session during the Summer School, where participants will have the opportunity to present a summary of their PhD project. The Summer School of ECA 2025 will be held between 17-20 September, at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. Students participating in the Summer School who submit to OHAAI will benefit from: 1. Presenting their research to peers in a supportive academic setting; 2. Publishing an extended abstract in our upcoming OHAAI volume; 3. Consulting with tutors during one-on-one mentoring sessions on the final day. About OHAAI OHAAI is an annual open-access publication featuring selected, peer-reviewed papers that summarize ongoing PhD research on argumentation in AI. We welcome short research abstracts (max. 4 pages, excluding references/acknowledgments) from current PhD students and recent graduates that outline their research agenda and its connection to argumentation. Submissions must follow the LaTeX or MS Word templates available on our website: https://ohaai.github.io. OHAAI currently has an open call for papers. Following submission, all papers will undergo a single-blind peer-review process within 6–8 weeks. Contributors will receive feedback and notification of acceptance or required revisions. Accepted papers will be published on the OHAAI website and included in OHAAI Volume 5. As part of this year’s collaboration with ECA, our upcoming volume welcomes submissions that go beyond its usual scope. We invite work broadly related to argumentation, including theoretical, non-technical, and interdisciplinary contributions.
