if it is 2 hours by air and 6 hours by ground to the burn center - then they need to have a lear jet assigned to the fire - or a fast helo - maybe an ospey - in theory - helo starts medevac towards sacramento - lear jet rendevous with helo at some small airport along the way - or maybe that is pointless - maybe they would lose 15 minutes doing the handoff - they shouldnt though - actually - 5 minutes to land - 5 minutes to load patient - 5 minutes to take off - 15 minutes at the least mckinleyville calif can take jets - see the photo - https://maps.app.goo.gl/wuHrEJhz5n9fdMZQ8 - but its out of the way probably makes more sense to set up a burn unit at redding california - cant be that hard to set up a burn center - just need a OR and a bed - maybe with special air filters and heat - cant be that friggin hard -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
