only took the winhall fd 4 minutes to get 2 engines on the road - but it took them 10 minutes to travel to the scene
VT State Police apparently arrived first and said that there were 4 status 1 patients with 1 being trapped someone requested a helo early on - must have been on the police side stratton mtn rescue volunteered to respond 10 minutes into the call - not sure why they didnt go on the first dispatch run card called for 1 manchester amb and 1 manchester engine on the first dispatch - they never came up on 154.145 R in the first 15 minutes of the call its possible that winhall rescue failed to respond - maybe just 1 of their members signed on - and that was after the 2nd page - which was 5 minutes after the first page tone sets are just transmitted once - tones are approx 2 sec + 3 second 124 eng 1 told 124 eng 4 that the crash was in deadmans curve while they were responding - pretty sure thats a whole nuther story On Sat, Sep 27, 2025 at 2:21 PM Peteri Szerlagi <[email protected]> wrote: > > https://www.manchesterjournal.com/local-news/winhall-crash-leaves-one-dead-six-injured/article_62aa351b-7ed5-44cb-9de4-42b196f74d88.html > > 1 person died > > iirc winhall pd has 1 cop / medic working 24/7 - but I dont think they > havae an abulance > > stratton mtn rescue has an als ambulance weekdays iirc - at the ski resort > > the 24/7 ambulance for the area might be londonderry or rescue inc or > manchester > > not sure who has jaws - maybe winhall fd or londonderry rescue or manchester > > this is near usfs terriroty so maybe they had 1 or 2 people there > doing traffic control or lz ops -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
