  ARTICLE 10 – PATRIOT REGIONAL EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS CENTER
(PRECC) BUDGET WITH REVENUE SUPPORTS To see if the Town will vote to
raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $1,474,014.00
to defray expenses of the Town for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2024
through June 30, 2025 for the Patriot Regional Emergency
Communications Center, as shown in Appendix C to the warrant for this
Town Meeting, or take any other action relative thereto. Explanation:
Pepperell is the host community of the Patriot Regional Emergency
Communications Center (PRECC). The PRECC is expanding from three towns
to five on July 1, 2024. Town of Pepperell cost is $341,761.00 and is
included in the General Fund Budget. The Department of Revenue is
requiring that Pepperell appropriate the entire amount of the
additional funding required to support the PRECC, but that amount of
$1,474,014.00 is coming from four-member towns and state E911 grants
as a reimbursement to Pepperell. Source Amount Ashby $94,024.13

made by: Chuck Walkovich, Select Board Member I move that the Town
vote to raise and appropriate $1,474,014.00 to defray expenses of the
Town for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 for the
Patriot Regional Emergency Communications Center, as set forth in
Article 10 of the warrant for this Town Meeting and shown in Appendix
C to the warrant.Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends the
passage of this article by a vote of 4 to 0. Recommendation: The
Select Board recommends the passage of this article by a vote of 3 to

history on a nationwide basis. Chronological documentation of all
incidents and calls. Coordination with Civil Defense personnel during
times of emergencies/disasters. Using the Code Red Notification System
when necessary to alert the public. Major 2024 Activities: 63,435
Dispatch Calls Created. On July 1st 2024 Dunstable and Groton joined
Patriot RECC. Secured $1,708,509.00 in grant funding for operations
and equipment. Goals for 2025: Continue to improve radio
communications in the district through microwave links and Radio
sites, apply for grants to assist with costs of the RECC and also for

we were recently listening to Townsend FD - it did not sound like they
were being dispatched by Patriot RECC out of Pepperell - but there
might be no easy way to tell unless you can recognize some of the
dispatchers voices
