Are these '3C905' cards, or '3C905B's? If it's the 'B' version, you'll
either need one of the newer kernels (2.0.34 or 2.0.35) or the updated
driver off of Donald Becker's site
(http://cesdis/gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/vortex.html) to get them to
work properly.
I have these all over my network, including four in a P200 box configured
as an ip-masq firewall/router, and have generally found them to be quite
reliable.
