This last step doesn't help me any, and may cause more problems than it solves
(as far as quake is concerned).  After a refresh, even a short one, I won't be
able to connect to a server.  I can still ping (ICMP) the server (manually or
from gamespy), but I can't connect connect (UDP).  'ipfwadm -M -l' shows the
table is nowhere near full.  Weird, eh?

This started happening after I installed the loose udp patch, so it's apparent-
ly the only variable.  I'll have to test a bit more. Until I have some results,
be safe and go with steps 1 and 2.
