I had the same error a while back, (during an install of kernel 2.0.34) and
it turned out to be a bad motherboard. In my case, the same system ran as a
Novel server with very intermittent errors, but wouldn't even boot Linux. A
MB replacement fixed all errors on both OS's. Check the integrity of your
memory & motherboard.

It's the first stable Version of kernel 2.2.0 wich was made public the 25th
of
january.
The Problem is, that there is no message, nor does the Box boot actually,
in fact
the boot-operation fails at this point:
on screen, there's the following thing happening:
Lilo
Loading Linux........<POW!> and the system restarts.
Do I have to change back to Kernel 2.0.36 to get a running masq-gate?
