Yes.. you have to use IPPORTFW, reconfigure ICQ to use a:

        - non-SOCKS firewall
        - use ports 2000-2020
        - enable firewall timeouts to 30 seconds.

Btw.. though the Linux MASQ Applications page states to use IPAUTOFW
all over the place.  DON'T USE IT.  It just isn't nearly as reliable
as Steven Clarke's IPPORTFW tool.
