Yes.

My firewall is a dedicated router, so this is not a problem for me.

However, if it is not desirable behavior, simply forward port 6001 on
the firewall to port 6000 on your desired X server, then use
"firewall:1" as your X clients DISPLAY setting.

You get the idea.  :)
