Ok. Got it. I have done that on my system, but I had to re-compile the 
kernel
to get it to properly recognize two NIC cards. I can now connect to the 
internet and the LAN, but I have not yet tested the IP masquerading.
(I compiled it in but did not configure it yet). Thanks.
