I realize this is a general modem question and not Masq-specific, but
I haven't been able to find help on it elsewhere.
My modem (a generic 28.8) doesn't appear to be detecting when the ISP hangs
up on it, or when it loses the connection. This also has the effect of
preventing me from telneting TO the masqing Linux box; it connects and no
prompt comes up. Could someone provide some advice and tips on how to
insure pppd & the modem detect when it loses the connection, and thereby
redial? Thanks.
