Hi everyone. I hope you can take a couple of minutes
of your time to read this and help me out if you can.
We are currently trying to maintain a server of ours in
Norway over the internet but are having a few problems.
Our network setup is a s follows:

1.1.1.1 ______ 2.2.2.2 _____|-----|_______3.3.3.3_______4.4.4.4
Sco Unix Linux |____| Firewall Sco Unix
                 Firewall Internet

IP Masquerading occurs at 2.2.2.2. This becomes the address that is
sent over the internet to the firewall at the other end.
It is working with telnet and ftp, but not with rcp (unix remote
file copy command) or rlogin. All the ports on 3.3.3.3 are open to
ip 2.2.2.2, and I'm told all the ports on 2.2.2.2 are open to 1.1.1.1.
Interestingly, I can rcp and rlogin from 2.2.2.2 to 4.4.4.4, and also
from 1.1.1.1 to 2.2.2.2. But when I try to rcp from 1.1.1.1
to 4.4.4.4 I get a response:
        4.4.4.4: Address already in use.

When I try to rlogin from 1.1.1.1 to 4.4.4.4 I get a response:
       rlogind: Permission denied.

Both 1.1.1.1 and 2.2.2.2 are in the hosts.equiv file on the Sco Unix
box 4.4.4.4.

Any ideas, suggestions much appreciated. Have I set something up incorrectly.
Does ip masquerade support rcp and rlogin? It's taken up two
weeks of my time and I have a funny feeling it is something that could be
fixed in a matter of minutes (I hope so anyway).

Regards,
Nathan Damianos
