Um... well.. running Linux in math co-processor emulation mode is
pretty slow in itself.  Next, 8MB of RAM is pretty tight for a MASQ
box though it will work with enough swap spaec.  Third, what version 
of the kernel are you running?

This isn't very clear.  The LINUX box's Lynx breaks but a MASQ'ed
WWW connection works ok?  By any chance, are you running IPAUTOFW
or even have it just compiled into the kernel?
