This is a follow-up and request for more information regarding the same from about a week ago. Here's the deal. I'm running Masq under Kernel 2.0.33 using RedHat 5. I was unable to get my NT on the private network to surf. Under 2.0.32 it had worked but suddenly stopped after making some changes (notably the kernel) on the Linux machine. I played with the MTU on the NT machine and found that it would work correctly with a setting of 108 (too low, but what else can I do?) I don't believe this is a problem with the NT side as I have made no changes to the networking and, as I dual boot that machine with Win 95 (which also worked before but not now), believe the problem on the Linux end. What could cause that kind of problem? I have compiled the kernel with Masq/Forwarding enabled and am using the most basic (as in Mini-HOWTO) rules. netstat -r shows 1500 for MTU on that network card. Is there an easy way to monitor/check IP forwarding by itself? I get a one-line response from netstat -M which doesn't tell me anything but the available ports. I'm at a loss. Please let me know if there's anything else I should be trying! Thanks!
