Hello,

First I'd like to quickly introduce myself as a new list subscriber, and
new linux user. My name is Brian Anderson, and I'm work for an ISP in Mass.
I'm running RedHat 5.0 (kernel 2.0.32), connected to MediaOne Express over
a 3com NIC, and a 3 computer LAN over a generic NE2000.

The Linux box can see the Internet and the LAN, and the LAN can see the
Linux box, so now I'm trying to get IP Masquerading working.

Looking at the resource page, there is a mention of updates being needed,
including info for RedHat 5.0. Since I am new to Linux, and a bit nervous
about kernel compiling, I was wondering if there is any new info about RHL
5.0 before I begin. Mainly if it is possible to include everything needed
as modules, and if so, where I could find the docs on doing it.

sorry if this has been asked a thousand times before... the archive didn't
have any such info. having only been running RHL for 2 days now, I'm more
than a little green. Day one saw the system installed, and day two saw the
LAN/Internet connections for linux, and i'm hoping to get the IP
Masquerading working tonight after work

any help / pointers / urls appreciated

regards,
brian anderson
