It makes you look lame :-) */ Hello Everyone, This has been taking longer than I imagined but I have posted a decent BETA version of the new IPMASQ HOWTO on my WWW site: http://www.ecst.csuchico.edu/~dranch/LINUX/index-linux.html#ipmasq -- This new IPMASQ howto BETA includes: - Converted from Linuxdoc sgml to DocBook sgml - So far gone over about 40% of the entire HOWTO and cleaned it up, re-phrased things, etc. - Added additional 2.4.x, 2.2.x, and 2.0.x checks to see if your kernel is MASQ ready - Added the compiling of 2.4.x kernels as well as adding IPTABLES patches and compiling IPTABLES too. - Updated the prompts and added more detail to compiling 2.2.x and 2.0.x kernels - Added how to enable simple 2.4.x masquerading - Updated several URLs Things still to do: - Need to update the testing section to include any 2.4.x specific checks - Need to add a Stronger IPTABLES firewall - Need to add IPTABLES-specific examples on how to do PORTFW-type stuff - Need to add additional FAQ entries specifically mentioning the lack of some 2.2.x kernel MASQ modules - Need to also add additional FAQ entries for 2.4.x updates on things like the MTU issue, IRC DCC resume, etc. Yes..
