ipmasq performance.
I have a cable modem at my appt which is used by 6 computer to connect to
the internet. since at home only blesses up with 3 ip addresses, we have 1
ipmasq server which masqs 3 of the computers which dont have an at home
address.
we all play quake3, and the computers with an at home connection seem to
have a faster network connection, and fewer dropped packets. the thing is
the masq machine has almost zero load on it even when we hammer the network
with massive downloads off the net.
i'm i just imagining things, or does the masq machine slow down the trafic a
bit?
