/* HINT: Search archives @ http://www.indyramp.com/masq/ before posting! */ Hi, I'm having a problem with masq and the game Delta Force 2. My masq machine is running Red Hat 6.1 (2.2.12-20) Behind it are 2 machines running windows98, which the game is run on. What happens is, when my ISP gets messed up and I have to restart the connection, I get a different IP address. But when DF2 on the win98 machine tries to contact DF2 servers, it gets caught in the firewall output rules using my *OLD* IP address. Jun 7 14:34:46 matrix pppd[2019]: local IP address 212.242.58.53 [ . . . ] Jun 7 14:40:09 matrix kernel: Packet log: output REJECT ppp0 PROTO=17 212.242.58.46:61181 24.27.82.2:3568 L=52 S=0x00 I=22088 F=0x0000 T=127 (#42) As you can see, the new address is .53 but it still tries to use .46 Quitting the game and restarting it won't help. Log out and back in, in win98 won't help. Only rebooting the win98 computer fixes it. I'm guessing there is a buffer used by masq that I need to flush? If so, how can I do this? I'm hoping a simple command in my firewall script will fix it. *cross fingers* Also, anyone know how I can get the firewall reinstated when using "persist" option in PPP? I start it from /etc/ppp/ip-up.local, but that isn't run when the link breaks and PPP restarts it automatically. - Geir Harald Hansen, [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Masq maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Admin requests can be handled at http://www.indyramp.com/masq-list/ -- THIS INCLUDES UNSUBSCRIBING! or email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] PLEASE read the HOWTO and search the archives before posting.
