There have been several suggestions. The first was to upgrade make to the
latest version. I don't know if that's a valid solution. Another person put
up a page with their solution at
http://www.dartmouth.edu/~jonh/lppc-serve/cache/874.html
Lastly, we modified the Makefile as follows to get it to compile without the
"Missing separator" error:
Line 15: Change the filename at the end of the line to Makefile.arch1
Line 16: Change the filename at the end of the line to Makefile.arch1
Line 17: Change the filename at the end of the line to Makefile.arch2
Line 18: Change the filename at the end of the line to Makefile.arch2
Line 43: Add Makefile.arch1 and Makefile.arch2 to the list of files to be
removed.
