IP Masquereding works just fine for every application *except* web browsing. The Linux box can ping anywhere on the LAN or internet, and can view web pages (in lynx, no Xwindows on this machine) just fine. Client machines on the LAN can ping certain websites (provided they're not more than 15 hops away) use ICQ, and play Tribes, Q3, etc. without a hitch. They can connect with FTP just fine. The only problems arise when any client machine tries to view a web page...the page itself seems to be coming in just fine, but niline images won't download. In fact, any image won't download over http.... Some technical information... The Linux box is a P100 (64M RAM, 500M HD space) connected to the Internet with a cable modem on a 3Com PCI card... The LAN connections are all through Linksys 100/10 cards on a 100Mbit hub. Connections between the LAN and the Linux box seem immaculate, and between Linux and the Internet. The Masquerading setup is basic - IP forwarding turned on, ipfwadm -F -a m -S 192.168.1.0/24 -D 0.0.0.0/0.
