/* HINT: Search archives @ http://www.indyramp.com/masq/ before posting! */ Hi, It seems my first message wasn't clear enough. I received several messages, read some also at www.bnetd.org, on how to HAVE a Bnetd Starcraft server on a computer with masqueraded IP. (as long as they tell me how to forward port 6112 - used by bnetd). My problem was on the client side, connecting to an external bnetd server from local net (192.168.x.x) masqueraded computers. The facts: the server running kernel 2.2.9, masquerading enabled, transparent proxy, ipchains -p forward DENY (tried ACCEPT also), 3 hops to the server (tried direct routes also, being on the same physical net). The local net are Windozes 98, "certified" to work with: Quake(world), Quake3, _Starcraft_ _on_ _BattleNet(tm)_, RealAudio, ftp, irc, and whatever a tested (but not Starcraft with that server - sc.gameover.ro). Beyond messages telling me to forward port 6112 ( ;) ) I received these sollution proposals: 1. getting routable IPs for the local net and routing a subnet 2. writing a module (ip_masq_sc) based on quake/ftp module 3. change the ip, gateway and the UTP cable form cable modem directly to the client computer when I play sc ( ;) ). So, anybody got into this and solved it?
