Well, to say the least. But who says that, other than crazed tankies and conspiracy theorists? Israel has reacted with extreme hostility to the new Syrian government; its bombing of Damascus now is only the latest, but in fact Israel has launched hundreds of air strikes on Syria since December, beginning the very day their man Assad fell and fled to Moscow. Israeli leaders statements have been relentlessly hostile. The More serious claim is that Israel's degrading of Iranian and Hezbollah assets in the region inadvertently facilitated the fall of Assad, the law of unintended consequences in action. However, I regard even this to make little sense when we look at piece by piece.
