There is something called "fair use" in US copyright law, and copying a quote
or article for discussion purposes should definitely be fair use. I don't know
about UK intellectual property laws of the bilateral and multi-lateral
agreements that one of our US presidents signed into law that make fair use
much more complicated. Fortunately, we generate no revenue here and it's unwise
to sue the poor for monetary damages.
