What we had here was a deliberate attempt by the far-right to home in on a couple of examples of organised sexual abuse of teenage girls, who were mainly white, by men of a Pakistani Muslim background, in order to taint all men of this background, to make out that they were especially prone to this behaviour. The girls concerned were living in care and were poorly supervised and allowed to wander the streets of the towns, where they were prey to predatory men. The fact that they hung around fried chicken shops and mini-cab offices, sectors which are largely Asian-run, and often staffed by men of Pakistani Muslim background, as they were too young and too poor to go to pubs and clubs, made them targets of predatory men from that background. It was established that men of Pakistani Muslim background are no more nor no less likely to engage in predatory sexual behaviour, as men of all ethnic/religious backgrounds are pretty much equally represented in such behaviour, but this did not prevent the far-right from using these examples to promote their racist campaigns. I have a feeling that a century or so ago Jewish men were accused by anti-Semites of preying on non-Jewish girls and young women, so this type of accusation is nothing new.
