It is very interesting any anarchist would even consider the transitional
programme.  There were important class battles of workers and different
oppressed layers among the workers and middle classes even in the boom years.
We are still in the epoch of capitalist decay since 1914 as identified and
analysed by Trotsky.  Obviously Trotskyists like Marxists recognise the class
nature of states.  This shows clearly the author's inaqudate break from
Anarchism.    As is well known I do not think the workers' states have been
totally overthrown in Eastern Europe except for East Germany and Kosovo.  This
is shown that the capitalists have to share power with the ruling Stalinist
castes.  This is a sign they have not totally swept Stalinism away.
