Every once in a while I read the comments of those who think they are Marxists just for bitter entertainment. Here, after one of the admin. of this group - Anthony Boynton - vociferously denied there was any significant worker support for Trump, after he and Mark Bougher were silent as church mice while the "national experts" that they platformed defended the labor leadership's links to the Democrats, after none of the "never vote Dem" on this list give this silence a pass, after nearly all these folk who think they're Marxists thundered on and on about the treacherous Democrats but hardly said a word about the immense danger that Trump and MAGA represent... Now these academics who think they're Marxists have such very learned discussions about the nature of a united front and other such weighty matters. Meanwhile, Trump has announced that he will appoint a known racist and ethno nationalist - an outright fascist in fact - Steven Miller as his chief political advisor and Susie Wiles - who has longstanding links to the Chinese capitalist class - as his chief of staff. He will also be appointing as "border Czar" a man who openly advocates taking away citizenship of those born in the US from undocumented parents and deporting the all. I am getting reports of black people already getting threatening looks from white racists just for being online in a store. When Trump says he will call out the troops to carry out mass deportations he means it. The last time he was in office, some of his own appointees held him in check. Just yesterday, Donald jr. commented that his dad has a loyalty test for those he's considering appointing and that appointees better realize they're not smarter than his dad, meaning no disagreement permitted. But never mine, the academics who think they are Marxists can continue with their very learned discussions. Maybe their irrelevance will protect them.
