Now that Israel has decapitated much of the Hezbollah leadership, destroyed its ability to communicate and wipped out half the Party of God's missile supply (no one knows how much damage the IDF did do to all of this but clearly it was substantial) they have sent tanks and IFVs (Infantry Fighting Vehicles that carry their troops) into southern Lebanon.
In my opinion, if Hezbollah cannot defend the sovereignty of Lebanon their fortunes will fade. Hezbollah kicked the shit out of the IDF 18 years ago. But they are highly trained, by Iran and in Iran over the decades. The question is "can they do it again". I think Israel has thought this through and will likely not make the same arrogant mistakes it made last time. It appears the IDF is using the same tactics as last time with a massive wave of tanks and some IFVs for feet-on-the-ground operations. Their tanks are supposedly protected by equipment that can take out an RPG or ATGM. We will see what happens. One thing to point out...Hezbollah has launched almost nothing at Israel since the pager assault a few days ago...which tells us that Hezbollah is husbanding their missiles that they have left. Two questions...besides degrading Hezbollah's military and political wing, what else does Israel want to achieve. What...what is Hezbollah's end game?
