I would like to thank Dennis Brasky ("I hope John is happy being
politically in bed with Harris' newest supporters - W Bush, Dick Cheney,
and their Att Gen Alberto Gonzales who defended the US torture at Abu
Gharib in Iraq (remember those disgusting photos?) and Guantanamo as being
legal?") and Mark Lause (" There is no "anti-fascist coalition" in this
election. A coalition represents different interests combining in pursuit
of a common goal. Socialists voting Democratic have no distinct visibility
or influence in the election whatsoever. Your ballot WILL be
indistinguishable from that of Dick Cheneys. That's just the hard reality
of it.") for their comments in response to my article "Why socialists
should argue for a vote for the Democrats: Some lessons from history

That they didn't even pretend to try to answer the points I raised is mute
confession that they have no serious argument. This is all too typical of
the sectarian, living-in-its-own-echo-chamber, "socialism".
Meanwhile, it is so significant that they utter not a word about the
silence of their sectarian co-thinkers (e.g. the administrators of this
email list) when these co-thinkers are in the presence of the big names on
the left, the "national experts", like La Botz and Bill Fletcher jr. This
whole "revolutionary socialist" crowd reminds me of our dear sweet little
dog Coco. She sits up in our window on the second floor and barks viciously
at every dog that passes by on "her" street below. But let Coco be out,
unleashed on the street, alongside of that other dog and she is as sweet as
a lamb.
