A very brief comment on one point by Gojko --- I believe it might be true that the majority of the WHITE working class supports Trump, the US has a multi-racial working class and the vast majority of the workers of color support Harris --- It may even be true that white WOMEN workers support Harris.
The data from the first Trump election, 2016, found that Trump's voters on average had higher incomes than Clinton voters --- Another interesting data point --- there was a recent study (for all I know someone posted it here) that looked a rural counties that were "depressed" with population decline, lower incomes, fentanyl, etc. --- They found that the most strident Trump supporters in these areas were the local "rich" people --- rich, here meaning relative to the people living around them. Local business owners, etc. who were doing very well economically but whose STATUS had suffered because of the decline of the area --- and who absolutely hated the resented the "elites" in more prosperous parts of the country. Lower income people could be brought around by an honestly populist campaign -- I fear Harris is not interested in such a campaign -- but she has had three years to observe the REAL successes of some populist policies (big increase in child tax credit, etc.) and if she is elected and IF she has a working majority in Congress we might be quite surprised at what she does --- which of course brings up the idea that once (IF) she wins, we have to be part of the push to get her to adopt those policies. One big "TELL" will be whether she sacks the head of the FTC which is what her Wall Street donors want -- I predict that might be the first big fight should she become President elect.
