Sam Marcy split off from the Socialist Workers Party, giving rise to the
Workers
World Party. A collection of his articles in "Workers World" are contained in
the
Encyclopedia of Trotskism Online (ETOL), which is part of the Marxist Internet
Archive. (https://www.marxists.org/history/etol/writers/marcy/index.htm).

I thank you, David, for your work of MIA, MIA being quite an important and
valuable project. But it appears that ETOL recognizes, and properly so, that
WWP springs from Trotskyist roots. WWP has a different attitude to theory in
general, and to organizing style, such as how it talks to others about theory
(or if it
talks about the theory at all), than various other groups from the Trotskyist
tradition. That's not quite the same thing as having definitively departed from
Trotskyism.
