Dear colleagues, OceanCare is leading a campaign with 9 other NGOs to introduce a mandatory vessel speed reduction measure in the management plan of the ‘Mediterranean Cetacean Migration Corridor’ marine protected area (MPA) and Specially Protected Area of Mediterranean Importance (SPAMI). The management plan is currently being developed by the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition (MITECO).
We would like to ask the MARMAM community to show their support for a mandatory speed reduction measure by signing the petition which we have prepared for the Spanish Government.
